The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania rewarded the best businessmen of the country. The Business Merits awards have been held for the 12^th time. Not only large companies but also small business representatives and market newcomers showing their enthusiasm and innovations were nominated.

A special award for exclusively female entrepreneurs: entrepreneurs who have been successful in their business for at least two years have been eligible to apply for it. Our chief executive officer Rima Balanaškienė was the winner in this category. Her daughter, who works with her mother, Vytautė Balanaškaitė-Šatė, took the reward on mother’s behalf, showed her joy and claimed that it’s only a myth that women are less likely to be entrepreneurs.
