The Company “Aconitum” has been manufacturing preparations for health improvement for already seven years. Established in Kaunas city, the Company commenced its pharmaceutical operation from the manufacture of homeopathic medications. Later it expanded its scope of activities and, by focusing the main attention towards the quality and safety of preparations, launched the manufacture of medicinal purpose preparations and food supplements. To meet European quality standards of manufacture of medicinal preparations, Company “Aconitum” invested over 5 million Litas for this purpose during the previous year alone. Modern manufacturing and quality control equipment of medications, new manufacturing and storage facilities are in conformity with EU Good Manufacturing Practice requirements for Medicines and meet the environmental standards. Significant amount of assets in the Company has been invested into the development of industrial manufacture of different pharmaceutical preparations according to the most up-to-date EU requirements. Standardised raw materials in conformity with GMP requirements used in product manufacture are imported from Germany, Italy, UK and other West European countries. Currently, over 70 titles of herbal and other natural preparations are manufactured by the Company “Aconitum” according to the European manufacture standard for medicinal preparations: Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certificate. We are happy to note that as many as five preparations have been honoured by the awards “Lithuanian Product of the Year” during the recent years, among them the preparations Cardioglucan and Liuberin were awarded gold medals. During the years of activity, the Company has been expanding, the number of its employees increased from 8 to 70, and currently the Company “Aconitum” is among the three biggest pharmaceutical enterprises in Lithuania. |
